Mr. Moriwaka is CEO & Founder of Silicon Valley Ventures.  Based in Silicon Valley and Japan, he is an acceralator for startups, advisors for global corporations, medical and educational institutions.  He has served as Executive Vice President of Moriwaka Medical (45 years old Med-Tech company), a medical technology company based in Shimonoseki City, Japan, for 5.5 years. In this role he has taken on management of marketing and public relations and has positioned the company as one of the leading providers of medical aid and technology in its wider surrounding region. 

 

One of Mr. Moriwaka's main projects as Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) is his "Innovation Forest"​ ("IF"​) concept, whereby leading experts from various fields are brought together under one organization to combine their skills and knowledge to take innovation to a new level. Despite its relative infancy the project has already attracted members from leading international universities along with medical experts, lawyers, and other professionals.

 

Mr. Moriwaka is often invited to leading universities, hospitals, and organizations to give lectures on business management, and medical device innovation. He regularly organizes seminars on business management, and has hosted numerous international business networking events around Japan.

 

He also represents Moriwaka Medical in its various charitable activities, such as donations of medical equipment to the local community, and participation in Japan-based NGO's who provide similar donations in Vietnam. Additionally, he supervises the Moriwaka Fund through which disadvantaged students in Vietnam are given scholarships in order to make possible their studies in the field of medicine.

 

Mr. Moriwaka is also CMO & Global Manager of the business consulting firm DreamAct Inc., which runs the incubation center Bases in Fukuoka City.

 

Mr. Moriwaka is an advisor of Challenge Community Partners, which has the internship program to both Silicon Valley and Malaysia from Japan. 

 

Mr. Moriwaka is CMO & Global Manager of Space Systems Laboratory, Kyushu Institute of Technology.
